3 weeks agoI got to experience the food at WelcomCafe Kovai during my stay at the property. North and South Indian cuisine dishes were fab, especially the sambar and the quintessential Dal Makhni were done well, in the ala carte menu.However, it wasn't the same experience for Italian cuisine dishes, which we thought lacked finesse and tasted average.The staff is amazing and ambience is lively, soft western live music in the evening adds to the charm.I would recommend a visit to this restaurant if you fancy a good North Indian ala carte menu.

2 years agoThe BEST HOTEL FOOD, amazing friendly staffs, they were with mask-on all the time! Kudos to the team !! Had the best Lunch Buffet on Sunday, almost 30 variety dishes... Had a blast.Breakfast spread was amazing too. Clean tasty & Wonderful experience.Love it! Will definitely visit again.

a year agoWe arrived right after breakfast had ended and before lunch was to start. Luckily for us, the restaurant was kind enough to allow us to order lunch ahead of their scheduled start window. Great waitstaff, delicious food. Lovely ambiance too. We’re only passing through on our way to Ooty, but from my experience in their restaurant, I wouldn’t hesitate to stay at this little gem of a hotel.

a month ago*Disappointing Experience at Welcome Hotel, Racecourse Road, Coimbatore*I visited Welcome Hotel on Racecourse Road, Coimbatore, yesterday and ordered Paneer Tikka and Veg Exotica Noodles. Unfortunately, the experience was far from satisfactory.The Paneer Tikka was poorly prepared, with the paneer not grilled properly. To make it worse, there were no spiced onions, tomatoes, or capsicum, which are basic and expected accompaniments for the dish. The Veg Exotica Noodles were equally disappointing — they were bland, lacking both spice and salt, and came with almost no vegetables. It felt like they simply served boiled noodles with no thought to preparation or seasoning.When I pointed out these issues to the server, she simply smiled but made no effort to address the concerns or rectify the situation. Despite such poor quality and service, I ended up paying a hefty bill of ₹1400. Honestly, road-side eateries deliver far better taste and value for money. The quality at this restaurant was nowhere near expectations, and it was a complete letdown. I wouldn’t recommend it based on this experience.
